How do I install my FlowPure filter?

Step 1: Check your tap

Make sure your tap:

Has a round, removable aerator
Does not have a pull out spray head
Does not have a square or flat outlet

If the aerator unscrews, you can proceed.

Step 2: Remove the aerator

Unscrew the aerator by hand.
If it is tight, use pliers with a cloth to protect the surface.
Clean the tap threads and remove any limescale or residue.

Step 3: Choose the correct adapter

First, try installing the filter without an adapter.
If it does not fit, select the correct adapter for your male or female thread.
Insert a rubber washer to ensure a secure seal.

If none of the adapters fit, contact us and we will send the correct one free of charge.

Step 4: Install the filter

Screw the FlowPure unit directly onto the tap or onto the adapter.
Tighten firmly by hand and ensure it is not cross threaded.
Position the unit forward or slightly to the side for easy access.

Step 5: Understand the water modes

Vertical lever position delivers unfiltered water and can be used with hot water.
Horizontal lever position delivers filtered water and must be used with cold water only.

Before turning on the tap, make sure the lever is set to unfiltered.

Step 6: Activate the cartridge

Turn on the cold water slowly.
Switch to filtered mode.
Let the water run for 5 minutes to activate the cartridge.

It is normal to see a small amount of black carbon residue at first. This will clear quickly.

Your FlowPure filter is now installed and ready to use.
